After company intros are shown, all I see is distorted lines across the screen.

I have figured it out!! at least for me... By Disabling SLI mode it now works correctly.

Same issue here. It could also be related to Nvidia Optimus technology as I have a Geforce 435M.

You can correct this by using one of the many programs which force windowed mode ( such as http://www.nynaeve.net/?p=52 ).

However, if you have a Linux box or Linux VM, this game works quite well ( almost flawlessly ) under WINE.

okay, if you're using nvidia, open up your Control Panel, select Manage 3D Settings, Program Settings tab. Then select a program to customize (your install directory in Win 7 64bit is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\Lionheart

Then choose the graphics display for that specific program. On a laptop you will likely have integrated graphics AND your nvidia graphics card. Choose integrated graphics, and apply the setting.

Then go right click on your desktop. You should get a menu with a Screen Resolution option. Open that. Then click on Advanced Settings and choose the Monitor tab (tab titles will likely vary). There should be a Colors section where you're running in True Color 32 bit. Change that to High Color 16 bit. Run the game.

Note that if you do not have the option of switching from your nvidia card, you should be able to choose a 16 bit scheme on that card too, but it's not a sure fix.

I had a problem which might be as well related to graphics: under Win 7 x64 the game wasn't launching. Switching desktop shortcut to compatibility mode with XP SP3 helped.
