I have not been able to go from the MECC chapter where they rescue Gordon and Bennett to the building of the base. I had gotten there the first time I played it, but I made the mistake of patching the game. I keep getting a screen that says it cannot load wintry screen. I uninstalled the game and downloaded it again, but now I am stuck at this point. I became a gamer because of Giants and Serious Sam back in 2001 and had not been able to play it because of a bad disk. So I was really excited to have it back again. Please, help me get my game back!

For me all the level's with base-building have caused a "black screen" after loading but i discovered that swithing off env/bump mapping in option's resolve this problem. Just try set off/low all gfx options.
