Anyone play Sentinel Wars:Future Magic back in the day? And/or it's spiritual sequel Heavy Nova? Those were some ambitious, deep games. I'd love to see them on gog.

Yeah, I remember that one. It was the first game that actually got something resembling music out of an old PC speaker. It was a really ambitious game; pity it didn't do well enough to warrant the intended sequel(s).

I even had original on C64. Remember that box-art? They sure made best covers in 80'.

EDIT: It was published by EA so still hope for that gem :-D

Yup. I played this and it WAS very similar to Star Flight and was definitely a massive influence on current gen games like Mass Effect.

I think I might have been all of 7 when I attempted to play it and kept getting killed in random encounters. XD

You mean Sentinel Worlds. Great game, I have been trying to find it for download, but don't know where to look. Wish they had it on gog.

I second the idea to get this game on GoG. IMO its one of the best Sci-Fi RPGs I have ever played. And some of the music (especially the music that plays when you are flying around in space) is some of the best PC speaker music I know of.
I used to have original floppy disks for this game but now I have a downloaded-copy running in Dosbox (I don't feel guilty downloading it as I do still technically own a copy :)

Running it in Dosbox says "Electronic Arts" at the top of the title screen (presumably the publisher) and (C) 1988 Karl Buiter at the bottom. Whether that means EA has the rights, Karl Buiter has the rights or both have rights to the game I dont know but I hope GoG can consider going for titles like this, games that are really fun to play but may not be as well known as some of the more mainstream titles out there.
