I'm paying 25 U$S dollars a month for an uncapped 4Mbps connection. Also they are deploying optic fiber just two miles away from home right now, it's gonna be sweet.
This is from a state owned company that has a virtual monopoly (80% share) in telecommunications in this country.
the internet bill isn't in my name, so I'm not sure how much. $40 a month maybe? 2.7 MB/sec using comcast. Maybe not that great compared to some, but it's downright awesome compared to the other services I used. Before comcast my internet would go out for whole days every month or so. Then with another service my download speed was usually 65 kb/s from 9am to 2:30am the next day. It was horrible.
Somewhere in the region of 6000 JPY per month (approx $78) for a 1Gbps fibre optic connection (advertised speed). Not sure what maximum speed I actually get in actual usage as I have never maxed out the connection.
Depending on the day I can see as much as 21 MB/s down on Steam, for example.
1,6 MBs for 35€. Included is also a phone line, which I don't use because my mobile service is offering a "home zone" with a local number. But you don't get internet without phone here.
No capping and no limits. After moving my Steam folder I hat it running at full speed for a very long time. The speed is constant.
Artemis_E: Meh - and i thought that Poland is 3rd world country as internet connections goes.
I pay ~33$ for 6 Mb. Got steady connection - no slowdowns and transfer limit. Ping to UE servers ~80ms
Especially the former east block countries in Europe have the best net infrastructure in the "western world".In Tallinn the whole city is covered by a free wifi network.

And Lituana have one of the biggest percentage of internet users in the world - also cheap and awesome connections;) Probably beacuse they build the infrastructure in the 90s :)
But still - Poland is waay behind Estotnia, Lituana, Finland, or even Latvia in that matter;)
10 euros (13 USD?) a month, 100/100 optic fibre. The weird thing here is that it's still rare to find such a fast connection in such an old house; these apartments were built in 1951!

Artemis_E: Finland is so awesome;)
This is a poor example since I live in Tampere. Tampere and Helsinki have one of the fastest internet connections available in Finland. If I lived in, say, Lappeenranta, I'd be lucky if I could get 10mbps/2mbps for 35€

If i ever move to Finland - i will have that in mind;d

Dang, double my rate and 1/4th my cost. Very nice ^^
$102.83/month for shitty Time Warner 15/1. Fios will get here eventually, but they ran out of money on their last years construction budget (or so i'm told) god damn Verizon.
Around 20Eur/month for a 30Mbps VDSL line, no cap. Very stable and reliable. I'm pretty pleased.
edit: Forgot to mention, the above price is with phone included. Internet alone is theoretically around 11EUR but is sold only as package with the phone line.
