Hello all,
Don't take this as an official announcement, but more as a bit of a heads up for you very much appreciated people still active in these parts of the forum. We've quietly been working on remastering the original for release through digital distribution, upgrading it to work well with Vista/XP and supporting higher resolutions. Time permitting we'll probably even modify a couple of things, so here's the question. If you could choose only one thing, what's the thing you'd really like to see changed in the game code ?

Divine Divinity is one of the best RPGs ever, and one of the most underrated. I hope this doesn't mean that the new version will be rendered incompatible with old game saves.
Of course this is a prime candidate for release on GOG, if the editor lets them release the game with no DRM, that is.

Huzzah, I played the demo of that additively for a couple years - was never able to get the full version. Was very disappointed when Beyond Divinity was released on GamersGate, but not Divine Divinity.,

Fantastic game, though a bit of a slow starter. I'm not going to play it again unless we're talking about a seriously improved version, but I hope people who haven't tried it before will give it a chance.

This was never on sale in Ireland that I know of so I hope this comes to GOG. If not then I can live with Steam.
5
YAIS. I own the game, but I will buy it again if they fix some things and add widescreen support. If it comes to GOG I might even buy two copies.

...been patiently waiting to hunt Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity, since i never got them at the time, and always believed they'd make their way to GOG.com someday. Heres to hoping they do :] And don't forget to check Divinity 2: Ego Draconis or something :D ...

Luckily they don't seem to be enhancing it to the point where it would be excluded from release on GOG. Fingers crossed.

OP, nice post! DD is one of my favorites. An update would be welcome.

It's in a jewel case over here and available very, very cheaply. Check ebay if this digital version doesn't get released soon over in Ireland (though I'd say with digital distro, it should barring availability restrictions). You can probably get it for @ 10USD + international shipping (another 10 or so if it's anything like Royal Airmail, I plead ignorance regarding Irish Shipping rates)
Great, great game if you like action/RPGs or the old Infinity Engine games (it's kind of like a cross between the two).
Also, our retail version of Beyond Divinity came with a free copy of DD (I wouldn't buy it though, it had Starforce). That might be even cheaper if you don't mind DRM. I normally don't, but I hate Starforce.

Never got more than a few days play with divdiv, certainly be a good purchase should it show up on a certain DRM free digital distribution site, ideally with extras

One of the best "Diablo clones" I've ever played... and I've played a lot.

Better than 3D, it's 4D: Divine Divinity Digitally Distributed!
Sorry, I just had to get that out.

Whoa... I almost bought a boxed copy off eBay. Can't wait to see it here!

Register an account, go into that thread, and post about how you'd love to buy the game from GOG. Who knows, maybe it could make a difference!

This would be awesome if it made its way to GOG!
