...this probably is another aspect of Ubisoft's new DRM-free strategy, right after releasing their new titles without any type of DRM.

Heroes of Might and Magic!!!!!!!!! I will definitely be getting that one when it comes out, and I hope its sequels will be released as well. Excellent!

There are these dudes who create this secret tactical force of elite dudes. They go and save hostages from an amusement park in Spain, a bank in Switzerland, a place in Austria and some other place. Two Russian dudes were paid to cause these attacks because a corporation of really really bad wankers create an Ebola virus to kill loads of people. Then the terrorist people cause an attack on the Rainbow people and stuff. Team Rainbow wins and everyone lives happily ever after.

Good news, everyone!

I gotta say I did not see this coming. I just got hit with a wave of excitement when I loaded the main page and saw none other than the Prince staring at me. This news has me floored, Ubisoft is a heavy hitter and hopefully having them join up will convince other publishers to jump on the GOG train.

Pretty good, I suppose. I'm glad to see the original HOMM here. The other games I either own already or have no interest in, though there are certainly a few gems here.

I hope this deal will eventually lead to Blue Byte and stuff like Battle Isle, Historyline, The Settlers and Albion. And there are some interesting Ubisoft-games from the good old days as well, like Iron Lord. So I hope GOG will do some digging in Ubisoft's history, and not just focus on franchises and series that are still around.

I am sorry, I really want to support GOG, but I simply cannot and will not buy any of the Ubisoft titles. Sorry and all that. It's for um, business reasons.

Well I've read the novel, I've even got the novel but I'd prefer to OWN the novel...

Besides, a game coming with a book is a fine old bundle tradition that should be ressurected and much like the Fear Factory album coming with Messiah, it'd be a major value added extra that could well drive more sales.

Please ask Ubi if they could add some of the Might and Magics as well, I would kill in order for that series to be added here!

Are you just pissed at their regional restrictions on Steam? I get that too here in Hong Kong, but I'm not up in arms about it.

Yeah I've gotta say this is a massive step towards becoming a big player (though hopefully not the 'screw over the customers for 5% more profit' type). This is the kind of thing that might be good levrage when talking to EA or Lucasarts
