Also for Linux & Mac users, as well as Windows users, another working games launcher is called YANG (Yet Another Netplay Guider) @ http://yang-online.com.

I did some tests on a Virtual PC. That Wine program is pretty cool. It seems to run Meltdown ok on Linux. Since Duke itself needs to run through Wine, I don't think it's a big deal whether the launcher can run natively on a platform.
