I just tried downloading Vertigo and DMB2 from the links, but I get File Not Found errors for both of them. All the other links work.

Hmmm...they work fine for me...try them again, and if they still don't work I'll send the files to you directly :)

Here's the breakdown for the three versions of the D2 redbook soundtrack, borrowed from Descent2.com:

Descent 2 (Original)

2. Title
3. Crawl
4. Glut
5. Gunner Down
6. Cold Reality
7. Ratzez
8. Crush
9. Untitled
10. Haunted (Instrumental Remix)
11. Are You Descent?
12. Techno Industry
13. Robot Jungle

Descent 2: The Infinite Abyss / The Definitive Collection

2. Title
3. Cold Reality (Extended Remix)
4. Crawl (Extended Remix)
5. Gunner Down (Extended Remix)
6. Ratzez (Extended Remix)
7. Techno Industry (Extended Remix)
8. Are You Descent? (Extended Remix)
9. Robot Jungle (Extended Remix)

Descent 2: The Vertigo Series

2. Crush (Extended Remix)
3. Glut (Extended Remix)
4. Haunted (Instrumental Re-Remix)
5. New Song #1
6. Untitled (Extended Remix)
7. New Song #2
8. New Song #3

Remember, the first track is always reserved for game data. Also, there are a few extra songs taken from cutscenes as well that weren't included in the list.

So if I'm correct in my thinking, the Red Book audio originally would simply loop through all of the music as you played the game? Or would certain songs play at different levels/menus?

I can track down all the various soundtracks and upload them here if y'all would like. (And I'm assuming to play them in the original descent, you'd have to burn a cd of them, but in Rebirth you can use the Jukebox.)

rs_tsyu: Temple2 is actually fixable: open temple2.hog in a hex editor, and change "temple.rdl" to "temple2.rdl". Make sure you don't change the length of the file; delete the first byte after "temple2.rdl" if you need to.

I highly doubt that the DAT, STS, and WAV files are necessary or even usable in Descent. If I'm not mistaken, those are for the Windows program that was included with Levels of the World.

The Definitive Collection also included 19 additional missions for Descent 1; I suggest uploading those too. They're found in the "newlevel" folder on the first disc. (The DEM and PCX files are already installed with the game, so you don't need to include them.)
EDIT: I just saw your other post...If you could PM me those files, that would be great!! Thanks!! :)

I've just updated the original post to add several more missions, two soundtrack AddOn, and a fixed temple2 inside the LOTW. Thanks goes to rs_tsyu!

Update time again!

Apparently I was slightly misinformed, and was under the impression that the RedBook audio simply looped through when played in the original D2. I have since learned, that there were specific tracks for each level in the originals.

My friend Ryusei over on the Rebirth forum tracked down all 3 versions of the original RedBook audio and now I just have to find what order they used to play in so I can make AddOn packs of them.

I've added these, as well as slightly reordered the original post for easier reading. :)

Credits: Track 5
Level 1: Track 6
Level 2: Track 7
Level 3: Track 8
Level 4: Track 9
Level 5: Track 10
Level 6: Track 11
Level 7: Track 12
Level 8: Track 13
Level 9: Track 6
Level 10: Track 7
Level 11: Track 8

Secret level 6: Track 4

Descent 2: Vertigo: Same music as the main Descent 2 mission, but with only 20 normal levels and 3 secret levels. Yes, this disc has audio tracks, but they never actually play in-game since you need to keep the Descent 2 disc in the drive, and you're never prompted to switch discs. (My Descent 2/Vertigo add-on pack is really just an enhancement and does not reflect an actual in-game track order.)

I got deepfrst.msn working. All you need to do is create another deepfrst.msn file with this text:

name = deepfrst
type = normal
num_levels = 1
deepfrst.rdl

LOTW pack updated, with fixed deepfrst :)
