Some of the reviews for Lionheart seem less then flattering, but do not make the mistake of thinking this is a poor quality game. It's very far from it.

Lionheart is fun, very challenging, and has very good graphics for a classic isometric RPG. The visuals are much better then Divine Divinity, Icewind Dale 2, or other 2D game from the same time frame. The games uses the SPECIAL ruleset first seen in Fallout, and it makes good use of the ruleset. All the perks and traits are set in context of the world, and make it feel like your creating a character, not just adding stats.

One issue that the SPECIAL ruleset has though, it that you tend to make very specialized characters, its really impossable to create a generalist avatar and be very effective in-game. This holds true in Lionheart as well, and due the large amount of sometimes difficult combat you'll be running into, you have to spend the vast majority of your skill points in Combat skills or Thought Magic.

The game has a great storyline, and intresting and memorable characters. If you like action oreinted RPG's like Icewind Dale, then you will enjoy Lionheart.
