I got my hands on Tactics pretty late, not sure why. I think i had a similar problem like vault69, trying to get it without spending much money.. and GOG wasn't around back then.

played 1, 2. and just repeated the two over and over and over some more.then 3. and 3 again. and now deadspace. tactics blows. and 3 blows also. a bethesda blows. i want my 60 bucks back

If you think of Tactics as another game like Fallout 1 and 2, as an great RPG and so, you will get dissappointed for sure.

But if you accept it for what it is, a tactical/strategy game within the Fallout Universe, its kinda good. It still has a lot of RPG Elements etc.

I would like to see some of this things in a "real" Fallout game. Like that it actually means something to join the Brotherhood of Steel, and that you're companions aren't just plain stupid.

But if i see what they did with Fallout 3.. its a nice game and so, but they watered a lot things down. Enemies easier, leveling faster, nearly no radiation, VATS instead of the turn-based combat etc.

So i don't think we will get a Fallout (and about zero other games with this as well) where it actually matters which factions you joins.

They made a good start with it in Morrowind and Oblivion, but if you can join everything at once, and if you still get commanded around by initiates when you are grandmaster...well.

Can't get Tactics to work with the GSP version of the game I got...I'll probably just buy it from GOG.

And I'm waiting for the price to go down/patch to come out on Fallout 3 because I'm cheap and don't like playing big games like than until the work out most of the post release bugs.

There was nearly no radiation in Fallout 1 or 2 either it was an anti-climax storing away all these radiation pills whenever I got them thinking they were actually valuable rare things and ended up having like 10x more than I needed for the tiny time you actually get to use them!

1, 2, Tactics, 3

Almost beat Fallout 1 (Got stuck in the military base with the force fields), got my butt handed to me in the trials in Fallout 2, lost some interest after that. I had to return the games to my friend anyways after that, so the only one I've actually finished is Fallout 3. So...1, 2,3. Have not touched Tactics nor much interest... However, I intend to pickup these two beauties again in the next couple days, and try and finish them properly!
